Craft Mountain Homes is an artisan construction company located in Crested Butte, Colorado. We believe that all houses are built but only the finest homes are crafted. We strive for perfection not only in the projects we build but also in the relationships we create with our clients along the way. Quality is the cornerstone of our product: quality design, quality construction and quality service to our clients.
Craft Mountain Homes specializes in new construction, large scale remodels and additions. Our in-house team of twenty, plus our carefully curated crew of trades, typically takes on four to six projects each year, which range in scale.
Our building model is becoming increasingly rare as we staff each project with the same carpentry crew from groundbreaking through punch list. The crew takes responsibility for the project and provides continuity of oversight. This results in seamless transitions through the building phases and pride in the final product. Precision and craftsmanship inherently improve when the crew that sets the cabinets is also the crew that framed the home.

At Craft Mountain Homes, we pride ourselves on our in-house offerings. We find immense value in collaborating with clients early so our development team can work closely with the architects and other partnering services from the early design stages. We work diligently to stay up-to-date on the nuanced differences between the jurisdictions across the county and have built trusting working relationships with various departments county-wide.
Our carpentry and coordination crews, dedicated to each project from beginning to end, provide our clients and their design teams with the opportunity to create trusting and cohesive relationships with each member of their team. Additionally, we have a fully equipped and staffed metal and woodworking shop. This allows us to bring your vision to life, while maintaining strong oversight on the project pace, time and cost.
Last, but not least, we offer in-house drafting services. We find drafting to be an invaluable service throughout the build process, as it allows us to translate general concepts into approved shop drawings, removing any guesswork and ensuring even the most minute details are captured correctly. This ensures accuracy and efficiency throughout the build process.
